I am a Northern League supporter without a club to favour and double as a sometime genealogist who has researched his family tree back to the early 1600's, compiling a file of individual relatives totalling just over 3,000 names. I have been happily married to Maureen for 53 years. We have 1 son, 3 daughters, 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and absolutely no money!

el Queso Grande's Northern League Experence

This site will record all the games I attend from the beginning of the 2008-9 season. I intend concentrating on those Northern League grounds which I did not visit during season 2007-8 and will get to them all. I will be selective, however, and choose those matches which are most attractive to me on a week-to-week basis. Last season, I achieved my target of visiting the Northern League grounds which I had never visited and my records can be found at http://www.freewebs.com/blackfelladder/First on my list, although in no particular order other than alphabetical will be the grounds of Billingham Town, Bishop Auckland, Brandon United, Jarrow Roofing Boldon CA, Newcastle Benfield Bay Plastics, Penrith Town, Seaham Red Star, Shildon, Thornaby, Tow Law Town, West Auckland Town, Whitehaven Amateurs and Whitley Bay.

Since I set up this site, there has been news of changes in the line-up of teams in the Northern League, in that Durham City have been promoted to the Unibond Div 1 North, so I can't see me going there this next season.
